Eric grew up in a small town just outside of Fond du Lac, WI called Mt. Calvary. He played multiple sports all year round as a child and eventually went on to play tight end for the Wisconsin Badger football team.
At St. Mary Springs Academy, Eric excelled as a three sport athlete earning multiple all-conference honors in baseball and all-state honors in football and hockey. He ended up playing football at UW and was a four-time letter winner. Off the field, Eric excelled in the classroom and was Academic All-Big Ten all four years of his career, was a two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, and received the Ivan B. Williamson Scholastic Award as a senior. He graduated with a degree in Exercise Movement Science and a master’s degree in Kinesiology. After his collegiate football career at Wisconsin, Eric spent a very brief stint in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns and played football professionally in Europe. He has now moved on from football to begin his career in Strength and Conditioning.
With years of firsthand experience training under multiple college strength coaches, Eric has learned how athletes at the highest level work off the field and utilize their training to gain strength, speed, and agility that directly translates to their performance on the field. He believes that in order for athletes to maximize their athletic and physical abilities, their strength and conditioning programs need to be individualized to each athlete’s body type, mobility needs, sport specific needs, and their personal goals. Eric understands that cookie cutter; one size fits all strength programs don’t allow athletes to fulfill their full potential. That is why he is constantly trying to learn different training strategies, techniques, and exercises to help kids in all sports become the best and most complete athletes possible. He credits much of his knowledge and philosophies to his former coach and current head strength and conditioning coach for the Wisconsin football team, Ross Kolodziej.
Eric has an abundance of experience working with athletes of all sports in both creating training programs and leading challenging workouts that are designed for the demands of each athlete’s specific sport. He’s constantly working to help all of his athletes and clients achieve their goals in their respective sport. More specifically, Eric specializes in strength and movement training tailored for football players. Eric also has the expertise to lead position specific drills for linemen and tight ends to fully develop their on-field skills and capabilities.
